Andrew Colclasure, a PhD student working with Prof. Robert Kee, attended the 8th European Fuel Cell Forum in Switzerland in June, 2008. While in Europe, he also presented his recent research at the 2nd International Fuel Cell Modeling Workshop at the University of Karlsruhe in Germany.
CFCC Students
Graduate and underaduate members from Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Materials Science collaborate in CFCC projects. In addition to taking coursework in their home departments, these students participate in classes across these many fields.
Canan Karakaya, a PhD student working with Prof. Olaf Deutschmann at the University of Karlsruhe in Germany, came to CFCC to study stagnation flow reactor this summer. While here, she worked with Prof. Robert Kee, Prof. Neal Sullivan, and fellow PhD student Nicholas Mcguire. Canan credited her success here to CFCC's world-class faculty and facility, and to the close interaction between professors and students. "I have not only learned a lot on stagnation flow reactor, I have also gained substantial knowledge on solid oxide fuel cell components. What’s more, I’ve had a great time in Colorado. The friendly people and beautiful nature made me feel at home," said Canan.
