The Colorado Fuel Cell Center has partnered with the Trustees of the Slater Family Research Endowment Fund to create the Slater Laboratory for Energy Conservation within the Colorado Fuel Cell Center. The Slater Laboratory is a class-1000 clean room, and houses numerous solid-oxide fuel cell fabrication materials and equipment. Through the CSM Foundation, the Slater Family Research Endowment Fund provides full-time support for two graduate students, Mr. Nicolaus Faino and Mr. Wade Rosensteel, in development of precision ink-jet printing processes for fabrication of Segmented-In-Series solid-oxide fuel cell architectures. The Endowment Fund recently provided substantial support for purchase of a Fuji Dimatix ink-jet printer for use on the Segmented-In-Series project. Slater Trustees Diane Price and Mike Slater recently visited the new Slater Laboratory for Energy Conservation to meet with CFCC students and faculty, and to review research progress.
