Associate Professor Andy Herring will lead a 4-year, million-dollar effort to develop inorganic/polymer composite membranes for PEM Fuel Cells. The project, which will be performed under a subcontract to 3M Corporation, is funded by DOE and has two goals:
1) to develop PEM fuel cells that can operate under hotter and drier conditions and 2) to develop membranes with enhanced durability.
