I am a Ph.D candidate for the degree of materials science at the Colorado School of Mines (CSM). At CSM, I helped setup and implement a large portion of the laboratory equipment within the Colorado Fuel Cell Center (CFCC). Following the implimentation of laboratory equipment, I was active in the development of planar solid-oxide fuel cells and initiated the fabrication and testing of tubular solid-oxide fuel cells. During the fall semester of 2007, I completed a master of science degree in materials science and decided to continue studies as a Ph.D. student at CSM. The focus of my thesis is to develop barrier layer structures for carbon-deposit mitigation within methane-fueled Ni-YSZ SOFC anodes. In my free time, I prefer to spend my time exercising in the outdoors.
