The CFCC was organized in 2005 with funding from the Governor's Energy Office and with co-funding from participating organizations. On March 20^th, Governor Bill Ritter and GEO Director Tom Plant visited the lab to get a first hand view of the progress that has been made over the first 18 months. Governor Ritter then went on to address the students and faculty of the Colorado School of Mines outlining his commitment to making Colorado a leader in all aspects of renewable energy.
