The Colorado Center for Advanced Ceramics houses a variety of ceramics processing instrumentation available to the CFCC. This includes numerous controlled atmosphere and air sintering furnaces, a Thermal Technologies vacuum hot press (2000˚C 25 tons, capability to run in Ar or N₂), a cold isostatic press, uniaxial presses, ball mills and powder preparation facilities and a plasma etcher.
